As Braydon Ennor didn't play the second half against the Canes because of a hamstring injury, I guess that will probably mean he won't be available against the Chiefs.

So I assume they'll start Havili at 12, Goodhue at 13 and keep Jordan at fullback. Unless they want to give Dallas McLeod a start, in which case Havili may start at fullback at Jordan moves to the bench. It will also depend on how well Havili got through that 2nd half against the Canes. He was excellent for the full 40 minutes, but is he - health and fitness wise - ready for a start?

I wonder how far Quinten Strange is from playing. He didn't play in the Crusaders v Crusaders preseason game, so maybe still not 100% healthy? Same with Makalio.

For the Chiefs, I wonder whether Sam Cane will be ready to make his return? I also think Alaimalo should start, but at which spot? I doubt they'll move Dmac to the bench, despite his total lack of form.

It would be nice if we could call on Retallick too if Cane was to start.

If Cane does start that will put some much needed steel into our forwards. Which may prevent a hiding but I still can't see anything but a 13+ win to the Crusaders

    @Hooroo

Without at least one bigger lock, we are really going to struggle.

Given that Retallick is taking the year off, and the other injuries, we are therefore a bit fucked.

Having Cane back should help though.

Right now I think we’d be better served with some changes in the way we are using the back line too. I’d like to see Alaimalo there being used off his wing and Dmac not at second receiver (which they did a bit last week). If they can get Dmac as the third receiver with some better help out there (Stevenson, Alaimalo) there might be some opportunities to cause some trouble for the Saders.

However, really, if we are looking to 11,14, and 15 to get us there - all up against All Blacks and future ABs - then it seems clear that we are going to get a beating.

Given ALB’s form, I think the only place I would select a Chief ahead of a Sader would be at 7.

The evidence suggests the coach has already started taking next year off.

As superhuman as Cane is, this is the foregone conclusion of the round.

@gt12 Ah Kuoi is listed at 1.96 and Vaa'i at 1.98. does the 4 and 2 cm really make a huge difference? Most people on here count anything under 2 metres as small. Genuinely curious what the few cm of difference makes.

Not sure this is as forgone as some would like to think.Chiefs have been the Crusader's bogey team for a while now. If the Chiefs can get their smothering rush defence going again they will be right in it.

Wow that is good coin for Crusaders. What is 13+ paying? Anything around the $1:80 mark is worth a remortgage of the house

No, probably best surprise her with the good news after the match....

Me and a mate have quite a decent TAB ticket that has been accumulating since the beginning of this year. I have just suggest we put half the ticket on 13+

Height plus wingspan does make a difference for your locks/loosies when it comes lineout. Combine that with taller props as well.

Hooroo tipping Saders, mmm....Chiefs odds just shortened dramatically.

Tipped the Blues last week too and got a decent collect. Bet with head (well I try to) and heart for tipping comps.

Hamilton wouldn't be my usual pick for a 12 month holiday, but it clearly suits Gats.

I can get you a Blues jersey if you like? Plenty of room on the bandwagon.
