The Outpost - based on the true story of an American base in Afghanistan...imagine you find the most obviously indefensible spot to put an army base, well that's where this is set.
3.5 The Taliban are coming out of 5 we need more ammo

Finally got to watch John Wick 3, just what i needed lastnight. Was late to catching these movies but glad I did. Just a superb mindless pleasure with ridiculous gory violence. Love it
The wife complained when she looked up from her book about it so that made it even better. Killing a man with a book in the library ffs. Not sure what I was more impressed with, his use of horses in the stables or Halle Berrys attack dogs.
You could watch all 3 back to back to back and not regret a moment of it.
Just crazy cool shit, 4 something of 5 something -
@Virgil JW3 is better than JW2 but the first movie is easily the best.
I'd like to see Keanu and Charlize reunite to do an action movie.
Speaking of mindless violence, I also watched Rambo: Last Blood a few days ago. Apart from the original First Blood, none of the others in the series will be remembered for acting, just good old fun action. You've got to give Sly his due for making a career out of mumbling his lines.

@R-L im not going to watch this movie but I will ask. I thought it glorified Stockholm Syndrome? Not the case at all?
Also funny how the story Beauty And The Beast is exactly that. I know Im not the first to bring that up but it's still funny.

Greyhound
The new Tom Hanks movie about an inexperienced U.S. Navy captain leading an Allied convoy across the Atlantic while being stalked by German U-boat wolfpacks. This has just dropped on AppleTV+, and I can understand Hanks' disappointment the public won't be able to watch on the big screen due to Covid-19. Plenty of action and suspense but felt a little incomplete due to its short length. Don't be expecting another Das Boot but it does depict the chaos and excitement on the bridge.

I’d give it a more generous rating than you, I thought it was really good and was impressed with the short running time. I liked that it was both tense but also moved at a fast pace when the action happened. The only issues I have was the awful CGI at the start, and some slight mawkishness at the end.
4 Cleveland’s out of 5 Eppsteins.

I have just watched The Old Guard. An enjoyable action flick but not quite as good as I was expecting based on the trailer. I will watch again though.
Good way to spend 120mins. Villain is a bit cartoonish with eyes way, way too close together. Charlize looks great.

The Festival
Odd British movie about a boring, insecure fella that splits with his missus and then goes to a festival with his bud to get over it. Pretty shit to be honest, but is kind of watchable. Has some odd scenes in it which are pretty unexpected
2 goat shaggers out of 5 realisations that I'm old.

Monster - biopic of serial killer Aileen Wournos. One of those films I'd never quite managed to see
Astonishing performance from Charlize Theron - Christine Ricci was pretty good too. Pretty dark tale and absolutely riveting.
4.5 Ted Bundys out of 5 Hannibal Lectors

Such a transformation in her appearance too.

One of those few actors who can physically disappear into a role as to be unrecognisable.

The type of flick that you search Netflix for. They don't all have to be be great but just basic action movies with a bit of a storyline that are well produced aren't as common as you think.
A set up for number 2 was telegraphed early in the movie, so we will probably get another.

Sorry to hear that mate. Still, at least it's only once a month.
