You are all given far too much attention. That is the problem.

I can’t believe he has a one year old at his age, I wonder if he struggles to pull out of his driveway

Pulling out would have been a solution in the first place for sure.

    @dK

    Cheers for that.

Was funny when they mentioned that these guys hadn't played rugby for 2 decades and the showed 37 year old Weepu.

Hope this show makes some changes. That touch game was particularly hard to watch.

Watched the latest ep today, jeez, I hope these boys (current and former) are getting the off field support they need at provincial to AB level, during and post career!

Good on them to be so open and honest about their struggles

@canefan I think there was a bit more to this show than getting in shape physically and preparing for this game, but equally getting the message out about sharing your struggles to get right mentally too

Just watched the last episode. Those guys were my heros as a kid and it is great to see them together, and the struggles with life after their success is completely understandable.

Must be hard for any ex sportsman to adjust to life. The body craps out.. unless your Ritchie of course and it just keeps going abs going, but we know he’s a freak.
They spend most of their 20s and 30s even in a bubble where everything is planned for them and looked after. Then oneday it’s over.
Have enjoyed their comradery during the show too

Really hard to adapt. I have gone from airline captain to businessman / property developer.
A gauranteed income, to fucking earn it or go broke.

Some of those guys are my age, some are running a business, some are working for others I assume, but the change is immense and not being able to do a job that you love anymore...Well.

Yeah I think ( hang on just let me put my grumpy old man hat on ) that the fact a lot of them are in their 40s like me makes me resonate with them heaps more than Akira, Reiko, Aaron, TJ and whoever else is playing today.

@MN5 Yeah, they didn't earn the big money either.

I've met quite a few of them too, good blokes. Not so close as to have beakfast with them but met them none the less.

Wish this show was on a bit longer so we could see even bigger transformations.

Howlett keeps himself in good nick. He looked about the same as he did during his playing days.

Good to see Iceman make an appearance. His speech during the jersey presentation was quality.

He sure has matured. He used to win MoTM on a very regular basis and have to make a speech in the ARU club. Poor guy was so shy he could barely get any words out. It was always awkward.

@Snowy it was similar to the transformation of Jonah. Early days he was shy as - even as a teller at the bank. Matured into a good speaker, not that he had much choice mind, that much practice and you kind of have to get good!
