@Tim I really hope Fakatava will get more game time. I think he's the best prospect for the future. If he wants to play for NZ.

Yeah, would be great to see him get regular starts. Highlanders coaches will be under pressure to get the Ws though.

@Stargazer agree very good prospect, but I'm not in the camp that he (and others who have come to NZ for school) should play for NZ, but I think I am in the minority.

@Tim as a Landers fan im hoping they realise that its in their own best interests to give him more game time, Smith cant play for ever so a long term replacement (assuming they can re sign fakatava) would be good

gutted he referenced 5 tests in 6 weeks was a big ask...already preparing excuses

sounds a bit silly when the RWC is 7 games in 6 weeks....something that most of the squad and coaches know about...and that has the added intensity of being a RWC

Difference is no Tier 3 or 4 teams to have nice rests

@taniwharugby I'm in the camp that it's entirely the player's choice. If he wants to play for NZ, fine; if he prefers to play for Tonga, fine too. The ABs selectors should select whoevere is the best eligible player in a position. It would be different if they were actively recruiting in other countries or had some kind of project player policy, but that's not the case.

Me either, but I’ve had to put up with Reece, Frizell etc so will be nice to see one from my home province and school if there has to be another one.

Foster said off-the-ball tactics has “almost been a feature of this tournament’’, and that the All Blacks have received several apologies from the refs after games.

Apologies from refs is interesting, hopefully the ref will clamp down on the shit stuff

having just read it, it's one of the best diversions ever. Super serious thread for ages and then within a page it's hilarious and completely unrelated.

Im glad I was not aware of this thread, its absolute gold, but most of this thread should stay in the pub when catching up with mates offline drunk so they don't remember, rather than posted online.. well at least my contribution would have to be in this category

    great laugh though

Still have the unbalanced loose forward trio, the switcharoo midfield, and a right winger whose reasons for being in the team are voided by his position.....

A lot of that is actually legible. People must be staying in school longer these days.

    Webber? Clack? Amoua?

I really hope that they are good because we haven't been doing very well.
