First day of school holidays.
13yo Daughter unit informs me that she potentially has a boyfriend.
Tell her if she gets one you're going to get one too, same age and everything.

Calm down. He'll be 18 for sure.

... for now. @NTA will surely upgrade his daughter's baby daddy to a 90s WRX.

Fluffybunny car drivers who crawl or even stop halfway round a tight corner ahead of you
Car drivers who want to turn right across two lanes of traffic at rush hour with no turning lane. Usually it takes a minute or two before they give up and move on, as if it's a surprise that RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC IS HEAVY. Ah, the joys of big city living
Rarely have that problem in the UK as people will almost always flash/stop to let you turn. We all moan, but UK drivers are generally pretty considerate.
It's the fluffybunnies who still won't turn when flashed who give me the shits....
Man, you learn quick in Thailand that flashing lights from oncoming traffic screams "I'm not even slowing down fluffybunny, let alone stopping to let you in!!"
Flashing lights over there means "don't you fucken dare"
Interesting cultural differences eh?😉

Should anything like that happen, I will upgrade him to an unmarked grave.

@Victor-Meldrew Well that’s something else I’m stealing. I’m a sucker for a flowchart. That’s not even a joke, three of my favourite books are Pete Frame’s Rock Family Trees. I can get lost in one of those charts for hours, playing a track form each band / incarnation as I work through it. Marvellous. Sad. But marvellous.

Pete Frame’s Rock Family Trees.
They were great. The BBC had a series based on those IIRC.

Yeah, I'm quite sad like that too. My favourite one is a daft punk one
(in other news, today was when I finally learned how to make the picture come up instead of just the link)

@antipodean depends which way they are turning, if they are travelling the same way as you, then you creating the gap means it is pretty safe, against the flow I come to a stop if I can see the opposite road is clear too, otherwise I'd not flash them to come out if the opposite side is still flowing.
There's plenty of examples on this YouTube channel of cars being left a gap and flowing into oncoming traffic they can't see. I've witnessed it myself numerous times. Even a car turning right across one lane of traffic can impact a cyclist or motorcycle neither cage driver can see. It's dangerous.
Happened to our nanny a year ago. She was driving our kids, turning right across 2 lanes into a car park on the other side of the road. Car in the lane next to her waved her across, and she went, got plowed into by a car in the 2nd lane, that neigltherbhad seen.
neigltherbhad is an outstanding word. I'm stealing it.
my fat fingers are unrivalled
Yeah, nah

I'm fairly open minded, but they're both 13. Even by today's standards that is a bit too young for more than holding hands and the odd peck

At 13 I was trying on far more than holding hands. Second base target.
