@Kiwiwomble no race of people has suffered more throughout history than the Jews. Just making sure they're included in the new adjustment measures alongside the blacks. Righting past wrongs was the criteria wasn't it?
Just to correct you here, Jewish is not a race, rather a (large) group of people with similar or common religious and cultural beliefs. It is the same as calling Muslim/Islam a race.

@RoninWC thanks, it seems I've mistyped race instead of group.
I guess only genetics determine a race. Shame there's no such race as Maori anymore then.Actually, as someone who works closely with geneticists here in NSW Health, genetics absolutely determine race and you can determine if someone has some of any race in them, Maori or not through genomic testing.
One of the systems my Group supports is the genomics system at NSW Health.

@RoninWC cool. So how do we define who belongs to which group? Who are you going to exclude? What's the magic percentage? Colour samples with different shades of brown?
Race is the central tenet in the prop 16 style legislation, and the context of my post you fastidiously corrected.
Will genetics like you do determine who gets on the "benefactors of revenge" list?
Intersectionality: which group are you in? What if its many groups?
As I pointed out earlier, a system declared to prioritise or give preferential treatment to a particular race is a fools errand.
It fails at the first hurdle in precisely defining the recipients and non recipients so the whole concept keeps going round and round with basically no one getting help. Meanwhile billions are spent on task forces, steering committees, action plans, focus groups, consultation etc.
Oh, and the Jews will be discussed at these "oppression finding" meetings, as will the Muslims. Hope they know they're religions not races.

Woah there #@Siam
Think you've way over reacted to my correction. Again, I stand by what I said, Jew(ish) is not a race. Simples see.Everything else you've put out there has nothing to do with genomics.

House votes for impeachment including 10 Republicans (one of whom is Dick Cheney's daughter).
McConnell has no intention of calling the Senate back early and has said as much, so it will be tried by a Democrat-controlled Senate. This is the anti-Trump Republicans chance to rid the party of Trump while also preventing him playing spoiler in 2024 by running as an independent like Perot.
A lot of online speculation that since only 1/3rd of Senators are up for re-election in 2022 (compared to 100% of Representatives), they might have more courage than Representatives, or at least just not turn up for the vote (only need 2/3rds of present and voting to convict - if enough Republicans just don't turn up, the Democrats will have the numbers alone).
A lot of stories coming out to suggest that while the mob was mostly chaotic rather than organised, there was a small group within it with a lot more organisation and planning, including police from other states and possible inside help. Some Reps had panic/alarm systems installed due to previous threats (including AOC), and the buttons had been ripped out.

One of the surprising things for me in all of this is that Nancy Pelosi is 80. She looks in great nick for her age.
This place is getting really twisted lately.
She's not much good on her knees.

What is an Ashkenazi or Mizrahi Jew?

@antipodean somehow "access denied" seems apt.

"Used to be" are the operative words.

I follow the PGA on FB and man they are copping it for thier decision to bin an event at a Trump course (although there seem equally as many who applaud the decision, then the ones who dont care either way)
PLenty of people claiming they wont watch golf anymore, already stopped MLB, NFL etc...what you gonna watch then?
IMO PGA could have done it quieter, simply move it and claim it was done as the other course was better, woulda had much less fall out even if people read between the lines and saw it was due to Trump.

I think there was a contract and they had to state a reason to renege under the conditions of the contract. I assume there was a provision for 'if the PGA would suffer reputational damage' or similar.
Even if they hadn't gone to the press Trump Inc would have so probably had advice to front foot it. -
@Crucial guess it depends when the contract expires, cant imagine they would have renewed it in the past few years at least? Still think it could have been done better.
I havent seen similar outcry about boycotting The Open, which I think ruled out using Turnberry, although they had not used it since Trump took over ownership anyway.
R&A chief executive Martin Slumbers said in a statement: “We had no plans to stage any of our championships at Turnberry and will not do so in the foreseeable future.
“We will not return until we are convinced that the focus will be on the championship, the players and the course itself and we do not believe that is achievable in the current circumstances.”

But they'd lose the ability to virtue signal...
I've got a different view. Do it and announce why, or don't do it.
