He had a bit of a late life career revival which was nice. 91 is a decent knock. RIP.

Read somewhere he hated that film
He came up with one of the weirdest quotes I've heard: "Working with Julie Andrews is like being hit on the head with a Valentines Card"

Saw that movie aged 5 and it scarred me for life.
You're welcome
You swine.
Not swine. Doe. A deer. A female deer.
Great track

He was fucking awesome in Battle of Britain and Waterloo, both actual great movies. Unlike the Sound of Music
I'll give you a piece of advice: stay single.
Lord Uxbridge: "As I am second in command and in case anything should happen to you, what are your plans?"
Duke of Wellington: "To beat the French."
Probably the most accurate historical war movie ever

Love that tune but it's a shame the violins came in. Would have preferred the acoustic guitar on it's own.

Bugger. One of my earliest sporting memories is watching him and Dick Collinge opening the bowling at the Basin in the Plunket Shield
He was a key player in the epic 71-72 Test series in the Windies too.
"His outstanding series was in the West Indies in 1971–72. In a batsman's series, in which all five Tests were drawn, and no other bowler on either side took more than 14 wickets, Taylor took 27 wickets at 17.70 in four Tests."

Another one gone from the golden age
