Is Gardiner deliberately cheating or what?

He's a shit ref. I've been saying this for years.

@Bones Would be nice to see that big body of Clark running either inside or outside of Beauden Barrett just to mix things up.

Don't be silly. That's a complicated variation on hitting it up two out.

Well I think we can safely say at half time that there has been no discernible change in way the ABs are playing. But the building blocks are in place and it will all click one day. Honest.

Will Jordan will have fresh legs for the second half.

    Defence has been much better.

That last penalty was annoying, Marx never releases ST just wrapped him up so he couldn't move without really making a genuine play at the ball. We needed a way better clean out though.

His legs were only 1.5m behind his arms. Clearly supporting his bodyweight.

    Maul and lineout fine.

If Boks going to rush up at 10/12, how about we drive back in close to ruck?

We're not doing that badly out there. Our attack is still a bit disjointed but the forwards are working very hard despite the usual criticism's.

I don't know what NZ are trying to do.

It looks like a dogs breakfast out there.

    I see no discernible improvement.

I wouldn't be surprised if he snaps a hammy from being so cold.

You know - we are playing average, we've not had the rub of the ref's calls, and yet we're only down 7. I'll take that.

A different TH and the Boks would’ve had a lot less ball

Tight five still not clearing out as much as I’d like. Seems there still seems to be a moment of indecision before hitting a ruck or getting into position for the next phase. It slows everything down

Hopefully we smash around the fringes straight after halftime

Do you think this All Blacks attack ever runs shape against a rush defence? Or do they only practice against their own D? It's infuriating how headless they look on offence.

i can see some of the attack structure and it’s better, just our execution is off.

Even when we’ve had good ball both Smith and Beaudie have been careless.

Yeah very happy with the scorelines as we were under the pump the whole half. Feel like that might be telling in the last ten though...

A lot of play has broken down around smith and Barrett.
