    Dmac reverting to old.

Went to pot once Roigard went off. Clearly worked on their combination.

@gt12 It really annoys me when people blame our loose forwards for not cleaning out, and ignore the poor efforts from the front rowers, who are supposed to be the primary agents in hitting rucks.

@Kirwan right or wrong, I don't think that is the real issue with it, it's the lack of consistency applied to other head contacts that is a problem.

What are loose forwards supposed to do then?

and yes all players have a responsibility in that area... but struth mate - its literally their #1 job - get to the breakdowns 1st...

That was a good game from NZ.
That last 15 minutes was for the crowd.
What does the red mean for EdG?

ANYONE in the rugby world can see Roigard and DMac are on the bench for the big games.
Roigard is another McCaw. Laser focus, no mucking about, automatic pick in the 23.

    Missing JB.

Sure, but this one was adjudicated correctly.

I thought the AB attack looked predictable when Smith replaced Roigard. Just shovelling the ball with no penetration. Other teams worked out how to defend against that years ago.

Seriously guys, that was a clear red card.

Why doesn't the tackle provide mitigation?

Hit the nail on the head. I have no issue with that being red. But why isn't Kriels or Taufafenuas also red. Just make your minds up.

And for the love of christ don't do what you did in 2019 where it was like a game of black jack in the pools, with cards flying everywhere. Then in the knockout it was like my dad remembering my birthday, with not a card in sight!

@His-Bobness yep, slower tighter games he is far too predictable, he will pass or you see that kick set-up.

    @Kirwan I wasn't arguing that.

De Groot red only big downer for me on an otherwise decent display.

Keeping them tryless main goal achieved (after 5 points)

You could argue there was an attempt to wrap, certainly with his left arm.

You could also argue the player dropping quickly
impacted the timing and height of the tackle which meant he couldn’t complete the tackle properly

@Mattasaurus Of course they hit rucks, but often they are having to come off their line to do it because the frontrowers, who are supposed to be hitting lots of rucks from their centre of the field positions, aren't doing it. When we get more activity from our front rowers we get much better ball.

A crisp pass is a crisp pass regardless of opposition.
Poor kicking is poor kicking regardless of opposition.
A lack of pace is a lack of pace regardless of opposition.

    Eyes open folks.
