@Punch_up You can find the NZ U20 squads for 2015 and 2016 here:

@Chris I guess that could be true. I just think they should renew their squad a bit more instead of luring older players back.

    @Chris

Getting BBBR back to sign on with NZ rugby was the NZRU's problem.

And, honestly, is he the lock to take us to 2027?

He's not young now, so again, if we are going to break up everything for a player - is he that player looking to 2027?

Not disagreeing with you on that, I am not a fan of bringing players back in to the AB's from overseas.
Pick them from our comps is what I want to see still happening.

I am not a Fan of it time to move on,We should keep the status quo pick players from our competition and keep them strong.

@Punch_up can we have a side bet on this. Media bought up Richie. What about whitelock or Leicester.

@chchfanatic I can see the need for Whitelock or Retallick, but why bother with Leicester Fainga'anuku?

I dont think it’s a great look for Robertson to be talking about picking overseas players when we haven’t even started a domestic season yet.

I know he was asked a question but ‘no comment’ would have been appropriate on this one.

You took the job based on the criteria of picking Nz based players only. Just do the job on that basis.

He will be asked this at every press conference going forward, especially if we lose some games.

I’m not sure the board are going to be thrilled with these headlines.

Apart from that, looking forward to seeing how his team shape up this year. Lot of rugby to be played before then though.

Coaching Jesus's lose games? Not going to happen......

But seriously, I'll be pissed off if he brings it up time and again, or uses it as an excuse for a loss.

I think someone mentioned halfback. Canes might have another answer there, again if the impressive photo is anything to go by.

@chchfanatic Let Sam Whitelock spend some time with his brother in France. As for Leicester, I suspect that things are about to get very crowded in the outside backs spots. So, perhaps it was a good decision for him to go.

This feels like a pretty important 6 months for NZ rugby.

We've come off a pretty good WC campaign that fell only just short. We've lost some absolute greats of AB rugby. There's a new bloke at the helm. It's got "new dawn" written all over it. And am i right that it's England coming mid-year?

But there are question marks. We're extraordinarily shallow at the very top in most positions. The greats that have gone have left huge holes to fill. Most of the pack needs to be rebuilt. There is no established or experienced 10 options (short of reverting to a proven failure). And the finger of blame for this needs to be pointed at the Super Coaches, a couple of which are now in charge of the top team. This year really will show what our development pathways are made of. Are we still producers of talent? Can we still develop talent? There are legitimate question marks there.

Are the new coaches ready to move on from "not bad but not great" guys like BB, Taylor, and Cane or is this going to be a very soft and very slow revolution?

It could be fun. it could also be disappointing.

Yes two Tests. Not an easy schedule

A tough draw in the RC with two away games in SA

EOYT I think has games against England, Ireland & France

tough first year, and given the NZ rugby public is so very forgiving of losses, i expect even more conservative selecting.
