@Nepia yeah I found Reacher enjoyable, probably a bit more unbelievable moments than last year, and I have already touched on a couple of issues, but apparently he is like that in the books so yeah
Watched S1 of Dark Winds as well, pretty good...interestingly I see it was done by Robert Redford and George RR Martin...

True Detective. S4
A cross between The Thing and Scandi Noir. Really good.

As in the 80s cult classic starring Kurt Russell ? Sign me up for that

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters
So essentially action comedy on Apple about the backstory to the last two Godzilla movies and how Monarch was created. Filling out their own universe and if you have very seen the movie "journey 2 the mysterious island", sort of becomes a bit like that.
Light fluff to be honest but an easy watch 3 out 5

I assume you saw what movies were on the shelf at TSALAL?

No! I'll have to re-view.

Boy Swallows Universe
Started off, even up to Ep5 of 7, really good. Brilliant even.
A couple of brothers from broken family living on the fringes ... OK kind of in the midst of ... drug culture in working class Brissy in the mid 80s, complete with cop corruption.
Funny, sad, scary, challenging, all the feels. Very 'Boy' Iike.
Apparently book upon which it was based was written by a bloke brought up in that sub-culture (parents arrested for dealing heroin etc).
Really enjoying the story and trying to work out how it will all tie back and deal with the baddies.
But it didn’t.
Whole story fell off a cliff in the final two episodes. Ep6 lost that innocence and joy of the first 5, and then Ep7 just got silly.
Won't recommend against it as the first 5 eps were enjoyable and watchable on their own. And the ending in itself was ok if it had nothing to do with the start.
OK but ultimately disappointing.

Nearly all the way through "Six Nations: Full Contact".
Quite enjoying it actually. Nice to get the behind the scenes stuff. Especially from Crowley the crusty old bastard.
The different approaches of each team, particularly the romance that the French side apply, is what I'm most interested in.

Crowley looked about 50 when he played and looked like he was running into the wind. You’d be grumpy too

I’ve just seen the first episode and I found it enjoyable too. The anecdotal theory that you have to be super arrogant to be a good fly half was borne out by Finn Russell. It also came across that the tensions between him and Toony are still simmering.

Only 8 more world rugby player of the year to get Finn, and you're right up there
