That was very very hard work.

If we have lost Dmac for an extended timeframe, we will not be going anywhere - Stevenson looks like half the player he is when they just shovel ball to him and hope he’ll do something.

Also really showed up our lack of depth - LCF and Tupou are two examples of players who just aren’t good enough for this level.

Good come back from Crusaders, that's some spirit.

    Chiefs need McKenzie.

How does it feel. Great probing question Jeff.

What this game highlights is that 10 is getting more and more quarterback like that without a good one the team falls apart.

Stevensons kicking is so valuable from fullback.

Good game. Crusaders won't be too despondent.

Hopefully injured players on both sides are ok

    Well done Chiefs

Super rugby still not a great product

    Commentators still painful

Berry still one of my least favorite officials - that said I liked him calling for the ball to be used so quickly.

Interesting take after a good opening game in front of a good crowd

Good game that - well done to both teams. Crusaders will only get better with more time to build combinations as will the Chiefs. Hope Tupaea is OK.

Agreed, but he needs Dmac there to get his / our positioning right, plus we have no counter attack without Dmac out there holding defenders

Well I’m a neutral in that I hate both teams, and I enjoyed that game. Not sure what else you could ask for, that was a fun game, good trys, massive hits.

Not sure McLeod and Levi are going to be that dominant going forward.

Bit samey and not very involved.

@chimoaus be better having Crotty at 12 and one if them outside him.

I will say that try to Roe in the first half was pure gold though.

McLeod might be a better winger.

Havili is back soon too (next week?). I’d be tempted to find room for him and Crotty somehow

I thought that game was great for an opener - contrast in styles, great intensity and a close finish. Plenty of mistakes but that added to the drama.
