On top of actually being composed to jump back on, to find your irons on a running horse is so difficult. Often you will see jockeys bouncing their way down the straight trying to pull up a horses after losing their irons. Commentators often refer to the jockey (if male) needing ice to recover.....

For anyone in the Auckland area this weekend the Warbirds Spitfire is going for a spin at around 10 and 11.30 on Sunday morning
Could be worth an outing with the kids (as an excuse) and a visit to the hanger after to check out the other hardware.
