Meanwhile in the FFS news
Coronavirus: Police warn Scottish medical chief Catherine Calderwood after holiday home visit
She resigned.
Correct result, wrong action.
Should have been fired on the spot.
Sturgeon tough? No nonesense?
Bollocks. Just like the rest of them. Spineless.

You're welcome.
Here's another critique:
Things changed swiftly after an epidemiological model from Imperial College London projected that without drastic interventions, more than half a million Britons would die from COVID-19
No idea if they're correct. But neither do Sky news.
versus:
UK can keep Covid-19 deaths below 20,000, says medical director
Professor Stephen Powis has said the national effort can work if everyone plays their part
You are still arguing against something nobody has said....
Not too far off blocking you there TBH. You’ve become really tedious in a short amount of time.

@Billy-Tell
What?
Mike posted an interesting vid, so I complimented it, Rapido jumps in to say the video is wrong, despite the fact he has completely the wrong idea about what the video is saying because he had no volume on it....
He might have waited to actually hear what the video said before criticizing it.. and he was literally arguing a point nobody was making. he stated the video was misinformation at the same time as admitting he actually had no idea what information it contained.... that's all good, I just fund it funny (I actually said it was quality ferning)... but then you jump in with your preciousness.@Rapido said in Coronavirus - Overall:
Doesn't seem a good video to me, although I had no sound.
So Billy, block away. if you weren't grandstanding you would have just done that without telling me about it. I wont miss your facile input.

It's widely reported now that Boris Johnson is receiving oxygen treatment.
Bit bored of the he's still in charge line.
He's certainly not well - there is no doubt there. Hancock is arguably more important right now anyway. The media briefings when he was ill were rudderless, poor and confusing. Improved big time with his return from illness.

Boris now in intensive care.
The UK Prime Minister is fighting for his life this evening. Thoughts with his colleagues, his many friends and family. Hope he pulls through.
This virus can hit anyone. I hope people realise how serious the situation is now and follow the advice, wash their hands and stay at home.

He's not even on a ventilator at this stage is he?
It appears he is currently in a stable condition.
I think fighting for his life is a bit of a stretch at this stage

"Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the Prime Minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital," his office said in a statement.
Downing St said Johnson was conscious and did not require ventilation at the moment, but was in the intensive care unit in case he needed it later.

If you don't take it for me, take it from Piers Morgan who has known Boris Johnson for over 30 years. He is very, very ill.

My personal experience is that people don't end up in ICU unless/until it is touch and go. Ventilated or not. Fingers crossed for him.

Once you end up in ICU for this virus.... The stats are very grim

Hopefully they are taking him early as an added precaution, might skew the odds in his favour a bit

@Baron-Silas-Greenback There was an amazing report on the BBC News tonight from inside the University College London Hospital:
Not sure if the link works outside the UK.

Yeah the wording is vague and of course now the various media are picking out bits of info. From those I trust it seems:
10% Covid patients in ICU don’t make it
80% have left ICU but not hospital
10% still in ICU
He’s conscious, talking and NOT on a ventilator. He IS on oxygen. It ain’t strong but I suspect he has gone into ICU earlier than others would have so there is no reason right now to fear the worst.
