Has Trump done as much or more than any president to undermine faith in their electoral system? I mean his words in particular
Don't forget everything he effectively endorses via retweet.
I’m amazed he gets anything done given how many tweets he sends in a day

@nzzp Heard a report this morning that Dems are worried that "people of colour" have not participated in early voting.
despite everything to the contrary there are still about 28% of voters who believe implicitly everything the Don says. Plus if ever there was a case for a shy Tory effect surely this has to be it. Biden will definitely win the popular vote. Even '"Crooked Hilary" did but he needs to win by >5% to be relatively sure of victory. He needs Pennsylvania and he's less than 5 ahead there. However if Biden does take it I reckon he'll win. Trump needs Florida and Pennsylvania.
I am a born optimist. Surely 4 years of Trump's bluster and bullshit is enough, but I'm not so sure. Not as Bullish as you Biden 290-300. Trump fails to conceded. Multiple court cases.
It's not like the NZ election where there was no way Adern could lose. The closer it gets to polling the better I like Biden's chances coz it means he's avoided self destructing

Doesn’t help when you have a President posting on Twitter asking for supporters to volunteer at polling stations to act as ‘watchers’
What kind of message is that sending..Don't most elections have watchers or observers from all parties to ensure its all above board

Terrible for America if this happens.
alot of what has already happened is bad for America.
No side has come out of this looking good.
Starts at the top. Leader generally leads by example.Unless US politicians have been selling the people out to line their back pocket. then Trump highlighting this is surelya good thing

Don’t recall Jacinda or Judith making multiple calls on social media for supporters to watch polling stations..

I'm mostly here for the statistics rather than the politics, but...
...to me it's pretty simple. Election is decided when all the legitimately cast votes are counted.
Florida has always done early counting of mail in votes, so I expect to see a result for that on election night. If Biden wins that, then its all over bar the shouting (or should I say tweet storms and/or shooting). Otherwise, it will take another 4-5 days for other states to count all their mail in votes, after which the race can be called.
-
@Winger you've got to get through the convey to actually vote though... and in a number of cases that looks pretty dire given some very hostile behaviour from Trump supporters. Not saying the reverse isn't happening as this election is just a bit hot mess... but holy shit Trump tweeting support for blocking Biden's campaign bus??

I don't think they are allowed to start counting until election night for some bizarre reason. The early votes have to be counted after the election day votes too.

It varies from state to state
