The accuracy. The drift. The turn and bounce. It was masterful.

And the way he set guys up. He seriously might be the best cricketer of my generation.

Saw him get his 300th v South Africa at the SCG. That's really my only big warny live story

It’s actually very hard to argue that much as I’d like to…..

Who else is there ? Tendulkar ? Lara ? ( my personal favourite ) Kallis ? Murali ?

Pace bowlers like Ambrose and McGrath were outstanding but we’ve seem guys like that before…..Warne was outstanding in his uniqueness

@donsteppa probably would have always happened. Sadly about 30 years too soon

If anyone has access to Amazon Prime, there is a recent documentary about Shane Warne hosted on there. I watched it a couple weeks ago so I was pretty shocked hearing the news this morning. RIP Warney.

To be fair, Warnie shagged about 20% of the women in Accrington.

Shane Warne was watching cricket, about to go to dinner before 20 minutes of CPR

Harry Morrow left a can of VB, a meat pie and a packet of cigarettes at Warne’s feet on Saturday, in memory of the man he said “was Australian cricket”.

I haven't been as saddened by a celebrity death since Anthony Bourdain 😞

The one thing in common is the age. Both men passed away far too soon. Both were huge in stature in their respective fields too

Why? Because he's being honest that a close friend of his didn't look after himself and he was worried he'd die early as a result?

I feel like it was a little too soon for that sort of honesty, at least in public comments. His family will still be struggling to get to grips with the loss
