Tin foil hat time but the leak coming the day before the teachers strike is pretty convenient. Treasury look incompetent, teachers strike becomes muffled and Labour gets to sling a bit of mud back at Bridges.
That is tin foil hat stuff indeed. And completely incorrect.

Thought the framing of treasury around the attacks was interesting. I'd be interested in what their baseline level of attempted hacks is - not just that apparent flurry around budget time. But I do think (hope) they would have been genuine in thinking it was how info was sourced, even if National weren't involved aside from receiving it. Or there could be multiple leaks.

You can't blame this guy this time

Stuff is on a tear at the moment

sounds like someone was in the know that some inventive searching of live but not published pages could hook info. So it's poor process by Treasury to have sensitive info available in such a manner.

You were on the money with this comment. The fact that there were more attempted hacks around budget time would be par for the course. They'd have consistent hacking attempts 365 days per year. It was a bullshit tactic to claim they were hacked when there was no evidence to suggest a breach.

That, and calling in the police was a classic diversionary tactic that may yet come back to bite them in the arse.

I guess nothing will come of the allegations (of which Whinny and Labour were adamant they had evidence of) of National Hacking that turned out to be average security to the Treasury site...
Guess Jacinda can now start talking about the strike yesterday and the rolling ones coming up to distract the flocks.

So glad I decided to teach in Asia rather than stay in NZ.
- No PC bullshit.
- No attempted feminization of teaching processes (see point 1)
- Way better students both academically and behaviorally.
- Far more respect for the job from general society.
- Way more respect from the parents of the students.
- Far greater income after the costs of living is deducted.
- Way less paperwork.
If the govt' makes any concession for the strikers, it'll be jack shit.

That article was a good one. To be honest, I'm getting sick of seeing Jacinda everywhere, being painted as a saint who can do no wrong, when meanwhile her ministers are farking things up all over the place. She is queen of the soundbite and public appearance, no denying that, but there is no cake beneath the icing.

She does not look well at the moment, chasing Frodo around middle earth is obviously taking it out of her
