@dogmeat I didn't and couldn't give a fuck what flag ISIS want to use, they should have no bearing on what we put on our flag. Massive cop out if that's why it didn't make the final four.

The various negative connotations of black flags including jihadism, death, fascism, anarchism (& pirates arrr) and their potential effect on NZ's reputation and trade were mentioned frequently throughout the referendum process. Not necessarily by John Key but by the government

So how’s Kiwibuild going ? On target to get those 1000 houses built?
But Jacko says they are making a difference, honest!
Cabinet reshuffles are hard when you have very little talent to choose from . Surely even Jacko can’t tolerate Twyford much longer in his current role?

Her language at her post-cabinet press conference yesterday was compelling. When asked if she had confidence in Twyford, she kept using past tense language - "he's done an incredible job"...

It's not just Kiwibuild
Twyford actually made an effective Opposition Transport spokesman. Trouble is he's now the Minister and doesn't seemed to have cottoned on to the difference in role.
In opposition you can promise whatever you like because you'll never be held to account.
As Minister he's continued to make big picture promises 1,000 homes, light rail to Airport and Westgate. None of which I find objectionable but here's the thing Phil. Minister's have to actually do stuff.

@Mokey I know she aint gonna say so, but I wonder if this is a sign of Simon Bridges inability to gain traction in the right places (have to assume he still has support, but maybe it is from all the liteweights in NAtional?) add in now taking the Infrastructure Portfolio off Judith...

@taniwharugby And giving the shadow finance portfolio to Paul Goldsmith, list MP somewhere in the 30s.

I mean, other than the fact he was 7th on the National list prior to this reshuffle (taking out Coleman and Ross) - http://img.scoop.co.nz/media/pdfs/1803/National_Caucus_Spokespeople_List.pdf
He was 14th when National went into Opposition - http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/PA1711/S00010/national-unveils-strong-opposition-team.htm
And he was 18th on the list in 2017 and was a Minister of the Crown - https://www.national.org.nz/national_releases_2017_party_list
But yeah, sure list MP somewhere in the 30s is close enough . . .

@taniwharugby Bridges is still leader because the only current alternative is Crusher and her own caucus find that too large a rat to swallow

doesnt address the information from the other week...so if this was a SAS lead mission, why were we waiting on US intel, surely if SAS lead, the US would have provided it shortly after the raid to the NZDF, or am I being a bit naive?
Another clip from earlier showed two men were visibly carrying weapons - a rifle and a rocket propelled grenade launcher - when emerging from a building that is said to have included a woman
The building was the home of an insurgent being targeted by the NZDF which claimed it was a weapons cache, Hager said.
Hager asserted the presence of a woman seen leaving the building showed it was a home to unarmed civilians.

To put this into perspective 10 years ago we were in the worst financial crisis since the great depression. Manufacturing isn't looking great either.
It almost as if the coalition don't have a fucking clue what they are doing or something?
