@Frye We have a corporate game here in the UK called "Wankword Bingo". At any tedious corporate meeting the players each get a small bingo card but instead of numbers you get corporate speak phrases like:

    Blue sky thinking
    Pushing the envelope
    Energising

    etc etc.

It sounds like with Pulver giving the talk the shouts of Housey-Housey and Bingo would be heard many times over.

    What the heck?

Steve Hansen reveals man charged over hotel listening device saga is 'someone well-respected' by All Blacks

ARU still managing to play the victim.

That's the sort of thing you get when you have corporate types running the show.

Pulver is an imbecile. Recently he said the Sydney sevens was the most complex event ever run.

Aside from scheduling issues, the main challenge for the ARU with the Sevens is to ensure its longevity remains, with Wellington a cautionary tale for how quickly tournaments can lose their novelty.

“It is an example of how you can't rest on your laurels, you have to keep re-energising your event and keep it fresh"

“I suspect it would have been the most complex event, logistically, I have ever seen.

“It actually blows my mind. I'm not sure there would have ever been a more complex event to run and it went off without a hitch."

    It was YUGE!

Sky News going big on "It was the All Blacks themselves" "They accused the Wallabies they did they did".

Forgetting there was never ANY accusation.

And it IS a dirty Aussie who has been arrested and charged.

Of course they are ... I'm just glad they found the culprit and looking forward to hearing why he did it.

This is going to go nowhere - pretty low level stuff in the criminal court. Max 1 year jail, $2k fine. Unless this guy has a rap sheet going already he will breeze through with a small fine and suspended sentence.

Then it all comes down to whether the NZRU proceed with a civil suit. That's when potentially more information could come to light.

The company website says he used to be head of security at ANZ Stadium. I'm inclined to think he runs in the same circles as plenty of people who would be interested in this information.

You can either read Peter Fitzsimons making a tool of himself[again] or stare at this gif for a while.
I've made my choice and I'm comfortable with it

@jegga The upvote is for the gif.

Then I read the offending article you clever fuck! The aids looking victim with the constant blood soaked bandage on the lobotomy makes two egregious errors:

    • Kiwi fans didn't 'darkly insinuate' anything. The Aussie press were the ones making insinuations. For someone writing a bunch of books you'd think he'd know the difference between imply and insinuate.
    • The All Blacks management took pains to avoid implying a single thing.

What rankles most is, he is of course, correct. Deeply concerned at their remarkable display in Super Rugby and whitewash against England, we were left with nothing else but to throw them off on gameday by accusing them of cheating...

the very worst part of that "article" was Fitz repeatedly using the term "humble" to describe himself.

    Good gif though.

Sorry, what am I missing here?

This seems to have been all opened up and everybody is saying we owe apologies etc ... ? Exactly why?

So it turns out the bug was planted by the security hired by NZ ... exactly what does that prove? It doesn't say why he did it, does it. Nobody insinuated that the Aussies even did it - all of what I read at the time, is that most people viewed it was book makers who were behind it. Nothings changed there.

And lets not put this beside the underarm incident. They aren't even related, in any way, shape or form.

Fitzsimons (whose looking very good these days btw), is just stirring as usual, all in good fun. But Pulver can get fucked.

How batshit over the top would the Aussie media go if a bug was found in an Aussie hotel room while they were preparing for a test at Eden Park or Twickenham?

It's logical to suspect the host country when this kind of thing happens, who else had the most to gain?

I don't mind Peter Fitz at times but hate it when he does these sarcastic pieces. They seem designed to make a stupid point while being able to claim that he 'was only joking'.

I prefer Fitz response to Paul ...

Who cares what relations are like. We've owned the Bledisloe for 14 years, thats why the Aussies are dirty on us. Nothing else.

Bledisloe games have always been filled with animosity.
