The small things often matter in games like this. And there were plenty of small moments from both sides that built up to impact opportunities.

Impressed with our D to cut off many opportunities the Chiefs wanted to move it wider. The conditions and the gruel took its toll on the chiefs forwards in that second half and they looked gassed playing a lot of ball in their own half.

Not a great game by any stretch of the imagination but at least it was close (I guess)

Stoked for Penny, Havili, Taylor and all the boys.

Other than Quin T, no other Chiefs stood up. Well deserved Crusaders

I disagree really, if only one Chief stood up, were the crusaders so bad, they just beat 1 man?

Mate, Crusaders just monstered the Chiefs. Chiefs CHOKED again.

Well played by the Crusaders. The door was briefly open in the first 15 minutes, but after that the clamps went on. A good way for a home team and fans to send out a stadium that way too.

disappointing performance from the Chiefs. Once again falling just short after being the best during the regular season

The front row of the Crusaders too good. Win on the back of forward dominance and kicking your goals.

@Bones Jacomb is massively overrated. Has done very little this year.

The hype he gets should go to Reihana

A 10 who does the basics effectively is worth keeping an eye on.

Think there would be a massive circle jerk over Reihana if he played for any other franchise.

Hard for any Crusader 10 to be given a fair shake coming after Dan Carter and then Mo'unga.

But he is a champion himself now. Good on him.

Looked like a mental loss to me.

Crusaders were clinical, Chiefs were second best, no question.

Really? All I've seen on the thread is admiration for Reihana. If his name is called on Monday I'd understand. The guy is very clinical in an era where we don't have many good 10s. Worth keeping him close to the top I reckon

Small margins and that's more than enough in finals footy.
For me I felt the Saders pack edged the Chiefs and dominated the scrums and Dmac having a stinker compounded things.

Quin T was certainly the Chiefs stand out though.

Jordan was shouting "Bones" as he went up for every high ball.

    Ben Smith esque.

Chiefs lost the home final by losing to the Blues in qtr, and then they struggled to convert their early season dominance (they smashed us twice). Tell me how that’s not a choke?

Hard to argue with that. They needed to beat the Blues and they fluffed their lines
