And as the game wore on, Pringle became deliberately obvious in an attempt to get a reaction, even gouging the ball as he talked to the umpire. Still nothing was said. So eagerly was he vandalizing the ball that at one stage he cut himself on the jagged bottle top.

The biggest lynch mob will be the Australian public. Just wait and see. This bunch of Aus cricketers just aren't very well liked and no one will have a problem sticking the boot in. Seems like even the PM will go after them to get some brownie points.
It's all about goodwill. The Aus cricket team have zero. Including in Australia.

I don't remember the Windies moving the ball around that much, but I was a young lad then. I just remember them thundering in like giants, that would have been real fear for self facing Ambrose, Marshall, and all the others in full flight

Passive aggressive? The link was quoted in the post immediately above yours. You should just take my advice and read a thread first.
Why would you expect someone to post links again immediately after they just posted the link? Just because you can't be bothered looking one post up. That isnt passive aggresive that is just addressing laziness -

Haven't seen anything along those lines, but it must have been (a bit? much?) more common before match referees, multiple cameras etc. Wonder just how many famous quicks used to do it.
The only time I ever batted against a (ridiculously) doctored ball in the nets, it was an eye opener. Started to leave one wide of off stump but then had to hastily play a shot before it nearly hit me on the back thigh...

Six batsmen, keeper and four quicks. A pretty simple formula that kept them at the top for years. I suppose they were so good at the unplayable Yorkers by being so tall ? ( as opposed to Marshall who was just short and awesome )

I remember lots of guys getting hit. They were menacing, batsmen must have literally feared for their safety. Just ask Ken Rutherford

Maybe this will calm the series down? The wind might be knocked out of the Aussies
Will be more interesting to see how the Proteas behave - when Rabada got off it was a bit of a plus for them, and with their opponent on the ropes both in the game and off the field, they might go full Monty.
