If you are using the Internet, why not FB? If you are all on FB you can set up a private group, have your phone sync with it so when you log in, the photos/videos are there waiting and you choose which ones ot upload and share on the page, plus any crap you talk is private and just for you guys.

Just another option on an existing platform.

From early in the First World War, the people of London had experienced the realities of aerial attacks, with the first bombing raids by German airships taking place in May 1915. The allies quickly developed ways and means of attacking and destroying airships and by 1917 their activities had been severely curtailed, leading the German's to seek alternative ways to bomb the capital. The answer came in the shape of the Gotha, a twin-engined bi-plane, capable of flying for 5-6 hours and delivering 1,300lbs of bombs. On the 13th June 1917, London experienced its first daylight bombing by aircraft, as a squadron of fourteen Gotha dropped around 126 bombs, killing 162 people and injuring over 400, most of whom were civilians. In Central Street, on the eastern edge of the City of London, P.C. Alfred Smith was patrolling when the unfamiliar sound of aircraft was heard above and bombs began to fall on the surrounding area. Panic ensued and as people ran out into the street, several were injured by flying debris, prompting Smith and others to try and get them back into buildings. Smith had just warned some passers-by to take cover and was in the process of ushering other women back into a textiles factory when a bomb landed close by and he was caught in the explosion which knocked him to the ground and killed him.

I learnt something new just a few moments ago.

Auckland is the most populous region in NZ but what is the second? I was slightly surprised to read it is Canterbury.

I thought the Wellington Region would have had more people with the Kapiti coast etc included

Last night was another fine example. All season the Yankees were old and injured, and yet overachieved and won more games than any experts predicted. They made the wildcard playoff spot, a one-game knockout against Houston. That game was played last night, at home in Yankee Stadium. Bottom of the 8th-inning - - Yankees trailing 3-0 - - still an inning to go and not an insurmountable lead. You might have expected that Yankee "supporters" might be encouraging their boys for the comeback rally, but instead were raining hard boos down on their players and manager.
