Dunno. I think it's actually got worse over the last few years.
A few years ago you could whip out your phone, press a button and take a picture on, say, a Galaxy S2 - now you have to open the app, check settings and tap the right area of the screen. It's a mess.

@mariner4life obviously not on your scale, but was a shop that had a range of sunnies on 50% special (so only like $125 instead of $250 or something) and I saw the pair I've had my eye on, so went to buy (Boxing day special I think)
So waded through the crowds to get to checkout, hand over the glasses, chick says oh those ones arent on special, points to a poster in store about an error and then a disclaimer in the ad...I was like oh...
So she rings them up and asks if I am paying full price by cash or eft, I was like, erm, neither and sulked my way out.

i just read the instructions. I have to pull the roof lining down and shit, i ain't doing that.
I'm putting the tub racking on myself (that actually turned up on time) but the roof is a touch more complicated.

Fair nuff. I've never had a vehicle that doesn't have mounting points easily accessible for either rails or racks.

I get all my family of 4 in an X5 with a roof rack with a crap load of space left over when we go for a week.
