It's Jack fucking Reacher. If you haven't read the books, here's what to expect:
- inexplicable decisions
- contradictory logic in decision-making from one chapter to the next
(Apply above to both antagonist and protagonist, feed it into a Gen-1 AI machine - you've got yourself a Jack Reacher novel/script writing engine)

Yeah - okay, so I'm up to episode 4, and more-and-more seeing why people are annoyed at the ridiculosity.
But... I still hold that it is staying extremely true to the source material... particularly in style - and I think that remains part of the charm.Imagine if they just loosely based it on the books, and people were whinging "But Reacher is supposed to be an imposing semi-autistic giant, not a charming midget!"

Missus’ flabber was well and truly ghasted as Smuts waltzed downstairs and hulked the suit (amazing what those film boffins can do with the magic of perspective.) Surprisingly, my growls that Big Joe always has little Jack Reacher’s number were met with first mystification, then mirth.
The lingerie remains untouched. Probably should’ve got her to watch the show first.

keeping in the theme of the show probably needed two extra scenes. One where Reacher uses that knife to remove Patrick’s eyeball, while delivering the one liner “an eye for an eye”. Compulsory second scene of Dixon (topless) riding Reacher before him saying, “sorry I’ve got to go, I’m going to miss my bus” -

Reacher season two suffers from nothing other than poor writing. It doesn't take a literary genius to get Dixon in skimpy clothing more often.
