I'd like to see ALB keep his place in the team, reminded me of Kahui, thought he combined really well with Barrett considering they probably only met for the first time last week. Will Crotty get back though?
Franks will be gone, so need a new prop.

I think we'll bring in another lock, which means losing a loosie from the bench - I would've mind Squire or E.Dixon be given a start for Kaino (save him for SA) - but Kaino's in such good form so thats not going to happen. Definitely can't keep smashing Whitelock & Retallick all game, every game.

It would be good to give Sopoaga the bench spot, I wonder if Cruden's struggles there are the combo with TJP - i thought he'd have combined better with ALB for the time he was on, than he did, but also it seemed Beauden still got most of the better pill so may have just been the way the game went. Basically Cruden looks a million bucks, when he was SBW outside him.

In the backs, Dagg was good on the wing, his propensity to be a hungus and go for it is better suited there than at FB. Julian Savea wasn't classic Julian, but nor was he useless Julian - once he got that ball on the 22, I knew he was good for that try. Fekitoa was pretty good. Tamanivula did a couple of good things.

SO overall not much to change eh?

Yep. These guys aren't easy-beats anymore. I reckon we have to have a side at least 80% full strength or there could be problems.

@Unco said in All Blacks vs Pumas I:

Geez, what do the Franks boys have on SANZAAR? Not the first time they've gotten away with murder.

It would be great if there was an explanation for the non-citing. Such as the citing commissioner spoke to Kane and the ref as well as reviewing other footage.

Yeah, we're still trying to bed in a relatively new set of starting inside backs (10, 12, 13), and openside. I'd just be grateful we've been able to do that so effectively, but not tempt fate by messing further... just give it even more time to keep rolling. I'd consider some bench experimentation though.

Is that the only footage of it? Big difference between a facial and eye gouging. Im sure the reaction from the wallabies player would have been very different if it was an eye gouge and as far as i can remember there was no allegation at the time.

maybe Chieka doesnt know the difference between moaning to the media about something and actually making a formal complaint?

Dont they have 24 hours to cite someone anyway?

Well if the Aussies did not report Franks there must not have been an eye gouge despite it looking bad.

Other than the potential return of one or two injured players, I'd prefer them to give the bench players more of a run - a full half, provided the score line warrants it - than to make changes to the starting lineup.

Any chance they didn't report so as to give the ABs a better chance to beat Boks and Pumas and therefore increase Aussies chances of sneaking 2nd..or 3rd

Based on the scrum I saw this morning from the Bokke, better the Argies than South Africa.
