    Avengers Endgame.
Very epic and long, felt like a farewell from the start.
Hard to say much without spoilers.

Will say it was sad to say goodbye to so many favourites, I’m going to miss The Hound, Arya, Jamie, Tyrion, The Night King and Sansa..

4.5 favourite avengers out of 5 fat jokes

The Highwaymen - Netflix film which tells the tale of the two Rangers who hunted down Bonnie & Clyde.

Only chose to watch this film because I've always enjoyed Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson films and it's probably the best film I've watched all year.

What makes it good (apart from Kev & Woody) is that I've never heard this story before since most stories always portrayed Bonnie & Clyde as lovable rouges and those chasing them as the bad guys (also the Rangers made a pact to never talk about it).

We don't really see the faces of Bonnie & Clyde until the final confrontation so we spend most of the movie watching the Rangers chase a boogyman through dusty roads and homeless camps. The way the director shoots it makes this work and adds some tension to the hunt.

The final confrontation is a great scene in terms of acting and cinematography.

    4 out of 5

@Sneakdefreak Yeah was a good watch, although a slow burn. Worth the effort though

Arctic - Mads Mikklesen survives a plane crash in the Arctic.

Movie is about his survival and his decision to stay or go find civilisation.

    Was ok.

    Endgame

Pretty epic. Liked it. Had to piss just at the bit where Tits catches up with The Arrow in Asialand. Fucking long movie. Felt a few of the emotional bits could have been hurried along a touch.

Two things bug me about this particular story arc - no spoilers as this is derived from the previous movie:

    1. Thanos took out half the living population without doing the maths. Some nerd figured half the population could be back in a few generations.

    2. I'm not convinced the entire world would come to a standstill in the fashion described with half the population gone.

Anyway, with a solid 5 out of 5 fat jokes

Bohemian Rhapsody. What can I say. I couldn't believe that it could be that good. I was wrong. Great casting, they weaved a great story amongst the facts, the movie elevated Queen above mere documentary into something so much more. The Live Aid gave me goose bumps, the whole portrait of Freddie and his relationships was very humanizing. 5 severe overbites out of 5 stadium anthems

    End Game

As a movie it's pretty bloody good

As a wrap to 11 awesome years it's pretty bloody great.

No rating, if you like Marvel go see it.

I too am in the pro camp for Endgame. I liked that the continued the comedy common to the MCU now. It had a Return of the King style ending, but this time I wasn't chomping at the bit for it to finally end (sorry Sir Peter).

4 waxed moustaches out of 5 beards.

    Looking forward to this

Lots of familiar looking faces (from American shows but obviously Oz actors). The terrain doesn't look right to me though, looks like planted gum trees (I haven't been to that area of Vietnam so not sure if that is how it looks but I thought it would be more jungly).

Its supposed to be a stand in for a rubber plantation , they plant them out like that and cut them down if they stop producing rubber sap.

    Cheers, that makes sense then.

I saw The Green Book yesterday and enjoyed it very much. Strong performances by the two leads, it was an excellent road trip story with the two main characters emerging as better versions of themselves and forging an unlikely friendship amongst the backdrop of institutionalized racism of America in the 1950s. @canefan saw that recently too and thought it was outstanding. I watched Blackkklansman not long after which had similar themes but destroyed itself with over-the-top preachiness in the last quarter. Greenbook however totally deserving of the Oscar nomination and win.

Watched the latest Jurassic World. Steaming pile of shit. Avoid.

The dinosaur vet was cute though. Instagram and nudes from another movie confirm.

A Star is Born. Let me say I love rock films, but for some reason or another I haven't been in a hurry to watch this film. I'm so glad I finally did. I always knew Lady Gaga was musically talented, but that performance was brilliant. She stripped off her masks and laid herself bare. There were biopic elements from her own story, the chemistry between her and Cooper, and Cooper and Elliott was so strong and believable. The tragedy of Cooper losing the battle against his demons. Great to see a star turn from Andrew Dice Clay too. So many dusty room moments and a great soundtrack. 5 wounded birds out of 5 fatally flawed country rockers
