Uncool music you like

A good example of a band that I don't think are uncool but others do, because they weren't cool to admit liking at a certain time, is Oasis.

I get that if you are from a certain generation, their popularity, the dickwad behaviour etc provided plenty of scope for them not to be 'cool' to like.
If you weren't forming likes or establishing tastes in their heyday though and ignore the personalities they have some brilliant music in their collections. Pretty rare that I would flick past one of their songs if it came on. But among some company I would expect derision.

Swap Oasis for Green Day and I', the same for most of their music

I've never looked at music as being cool or uncool, good or bad. To me, there is the music you like and the music you don't like.

Totally agree, which is why this thread is a bit weird. The uncool part is in the eyes of others.

I know it's @Tim thread, so his rules, but doesn't the presence of Def Leppard and Motley Crue derail it completely going by those rules? I'm less bogan than most of you lot on here and I wouldn't be embarrassed playing those two.

Pantera? Never knew they were uncool as they are just another heavy rock band in my ears and I dont differentiate one from another.
I thought it was about songs/bands that are universally uncool but you have a listen
