@booboo perfect timing. A mate of mines son donated a piano to charity and the put a pic of him playing a beautifully restored grand piano saying what a good bugger he was and when his business collapsed during the gfc he got done for fraud they used the same photo to make out he'd been living a high rolling lifestyle with clients funds.
-
@booboo At worst. The only thing that will damn him to manslaughter is if the jury believes he was strangling her during a "silent" part of the recording. Surely you couldn't predict someone would try to climb down to the level below, even if they were out of control.
Why oh why did he not turf her out into the hallway of his building. Throw her her clothes, bag, phone and stuff and tell her to beat it.
-
yeah I cant see how that can be murder, yes what he did lead to her death, but murder?
Seems odd he forced her out onto the balcony rather than out the door into the hallway...

Number one rule of Tinder. Always go to the chicks house, you don't want to run the risk of some potentially crazy bitch knowing where you live.

@taniwharugby I wonder if the prosecution fucked up by going for murder. He certainly contributed to her death and he's a sleazy shitbag but murder might be a stretch. Anyone got a legal definition?
-
Very broadly manslaughter would be his actions were responsible for her death and murder would be that the he had the intent to cause her death.
There seems to me to be some confusion or uncertainty over what her physical actions were that triggered the final part of the incident, and led him to allegedly choke her and then lock her out on the balcony. She seems to have been throwing ornamental "rocks" at him (they looked more like stones, or even gravel sized, but not as small as pebbles). She also seems to have been attacking him with muay thai (that is thai kickboxing right?). There also seems some suggestion that she attacked him with some sort of object.
An alleged transcript of the recording published in the Goldie Bulletin (not sure how reputable this is) to me implies that he accuses her of trying to kill him, had hit him with something, and him ordering her to let it go [i.e. an object] while a struggle ensues.
The recording is tantalising evidence but still leaves you in the dark as to what happened.

why?? Some things just aren't meant for social media!

there has been a heap of them recently. Video of toddlers trying to wake up their dead/passed out druggy parents. Who the fuck films this shit? What the fuck is wrong with people.
Humanity is fucked.

I'm guessing shock tactics. Like the then successful AIDS campaign here in Oz. Or road safety campaigns.

Moving on from the earth shattering news that Hillary prefers TV3 coffee for a moment.....
Is there anyone more deserving of an unsuspected head butt or punch in the face than Mike Hosking?
Yes.. lots of media people.... top of my list are Jeremy Wells and John Campbell
-
@Baron-Silas-Greenback I don't really have a view either way on Wells, but Campbell is def up there for me!

On the theme of the thread title (yes, I know, it's radical)..... Stuff even managed this article the other day
All these years and all those farts and I never realised that eating ripe smelly food created ripe smelly gas inside me. Imagine if these news folks weren't around to educate us.
