@crazy-horse well there are warnings about the seas, ferries are cancelled, some coastal areas told to prepare for inundation.
I think it would be courtesy for them to notify SAR of thier intentions, I expect they didnt, cos they knew they'd advise them not to.

I dont expect they did, but thats the thing, if they notified SAR, they neednt have attempted a 'rescue', when according to this guy, they guys were prepared for the conditions.
a simple phone call could have meant the only risk was to the fellas who chose to go out, not additonal people who really didnt need to go at all.

SAR provide a valuable service but aren't beholden to rescuing people. At all times they can make the determination that it's too dangerous.

Yep.
We didn't have controls and regs when I had to do some of it and it was dangerous. A narrow valley that I thought was the most likely to find a crash site in (and was correct) was also where a mate thought the same thing.
We missed by a couple of feet searching. Three plane crashes in one jungle valley. Great ay?

I’d say all the Toilet paper he stocked up on ( cos I’m safely assuming he’s one of those types ) would have meant the house burnt pretty quick too.

@crucial policies changed from full replacement to sum insured following the Christchurch earthquakes, so I guess it is a new change... (although many insurers are now offering additional payout for non-natural disaster events, which this was, but if he has never updated it, or spoken to them)
I recall seeing a 'life hack' on a youtube or tik tok clip my kids were watching one day and was a dude on there said to cook your steak in the toaster!!

Haven't read any more than the headline, but given a judge has heard both sides and determined she should still be subject to the management of her father may just mean she needs to be subject to management by someone who loves and cares for her, even though maybe because, he doesn't agree to her whims.
But I haven't followed the case, nor read the judgement, nor even read the story.
