With National it’s likely down to either Crusher or the tummy staple queen
Maybe there’s enough out there now who are over the star brite shit, baby photo ops and just want someone who actually appears competent. A little corrupt but if there’s less baby shit/partner doing fishing shows and more work then they may garner more support

If anyone thinks Kaye and Adams are the answer.. I would love to know what question they are asking....
What exactly are they good at? How do they in any way stand for right of centre views?

The nutter has gone and decided to make himself unemployable on his way out

Well, if someone hangs you out to dry, they shouldn't have any dirt on them that you have in your hands. That's dumb.
I won't say it's good, but if someone took away my career via a (bad) political choice (that investigation wasn't needed), I'd destory them if I could.
And, since it's Bridges, I don't care:)

In a shallow pool, I guess picking one of them negates the only strength Jacinda has. Picking the one that beat her twice is also a narrative you can lean on in the media.
I would then have Crusher as deputy so she can be the attack dog (which they tried to get Paula to do, but sh'e not good at it).
None of them are great, and does anybody in National stand for right of centre?

John Key was a centrist (at least that's where he pitched the tent). The main body of the NZ electorate are pretty centrist. Act are a bit further right and they are left right out if not for the Nats throwing the bone that is Epsom. The Nats need to work out what resonates best with the voting public closer to time. Out Jacinda Jacinda or another approach. The push back move is the Trumpian one but I'm not sure it will fly here

If what Ross says is true then the soy boy is toast. At least it’s two years out from the election.
You know that the ferald will be all over this so if there’s any hint of truth he will be fucked.
Good. I don’t want a corrupt pm

Meanwhile in the National Party offices right at this moment...

What's up with this?
Ross has also revealed that he was accused by National of harassing four women: "I was asked for details. I was not given any."
Seems to be the thing to do at the moment. A group I'm involved with had the same issue.
'Inner-group' - "Trust us he's harrassing multiple women and needs to go"
'Victim 1 - not part of inner group' - "WTF completely made-up BS!"
'Victim 2 & 3 - part of inner group' - "Yes true but no we won't provide evidence"
'The Accused - not part of inner group' - "WTF?!!!! Not true, here is all the evidence to prove otherwise"Verdict - guy has to go.
Metoo baseless accusation can be a very effective weapon.

This was an interesting read this morning before all the latest dramas broke:
I work in his electorate, even met him briefly. I was always wary of his story, finished high school went straight into local government then on to the National party. Quite unusual for a National MP

Does. Not. Compute.

@jegga TBF, both he and Bridges have a similar face.
More drama today with him supposedly going to Police with his evidence, the rest of National backing Bridges to the hilt.
Next episode of Shortland Street, the halls of power to be continued...
-
Funnily enough - on the basis that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger - this might actually help Bridges.
He's been struggling for traction and relevancy - and now he's got his face on the front page and has become "interesting". A bit like Trump's pussy grabbing - there no bad publicity.
"Is he a corrupt leader? Tune in for the next exciting instalment."
Of course, if he is corrupt, the axe will fall. But, I'm guessing Jami-Lee's tape won't be dynamite enough to blow him out of the water.
