Not surprising given the scenes outside Sky TVs offices after Vietch was announced to be in this new show

That ferald article was full on. I think veitch could have done a lot more to address his actions and contribute to the anti-violence conversations. Sitting 'quietly in radio waiting to get back to tv was never going to work.

Contrast his narcissistic behaviour over the whole thing to the guy from the Laughing Samoans who recently admitted his problems with domestic violence .
Even if he didn’t push his ex down the stairs I couldn’t watch a show with him in it. He reminds me of Matt Dawson , both shouty obnoxious little twats who think they are hilarious and it’s all just a bit of banter with the lads when they behave like dickheads.

If anyone deserves a double tap execution style it's this monster

@canefan That's a good start, but I wish this 'church' lost its status altogether. The Tamakis are one of the more truly revolting couples in NZ, and I have yet to see a story that isn't Brian being a fluffybunny, or the two of them taking selfies in front of cars or houses or overseas.
-
@canefan fark, that little cnut is 35!
I remember an article years back (when they were trying to relocate them outside of the UK) one was said to be hugely remorseful and withdrawn about it all, while the other didnt seem to care, assume that was this one!

Veitch has always been a hundred miles up his own arse. I remember years ago I was writing a profile piece on Peter Williams, and went to TVNZ to get some quotes from his colleagues. Mike McRoberts was one, and was just fine. Then Veitch elbowed his way into the conversation and spent the next ten minutes wanking on about himself in the guise of an anecdote about Peter (who really is the nicest guy.) He really is the most narcissistic creep. And looks like a cocker spaniel.

I couldn't stand him even before the violence. Matthew Ridge came across as a gentleman in comparison.

If he wants people to move on then perhaps an apology to his victim would have been a good start.
As @Mokey says, he is a complete self absorbed twat. Only such a person could do a complete interview to try and put his past behind him and not once actually apologise for what he did.
I had a smidge of sympathy for him after the suicide attempts but his behaviour after that pointed to the attempts being deliberate 'look at poor me' activities. -

Churches as a whole should lose charitable status, and have charities set up with charitable status that are separate from the church.
Yeah, it made total sense in the past when the church was the cornerstone of any community, but things have obviously changed now so it's a law that needs updating. A tricky one though, as places like the Salvation Army still do genuinely good stuff, but then you have people like Tamaki just conpletely taking the piss.

What the Salvos do can be legitimate tax deductions as charitable acts. So, not an issue.
