    It's a Disaster

Four couples attend a brunch during which a war/ terrorist attack happens and they have to play out what they believe to be their last hours together. Not hilarious, not deeply dark, but amusing enough.

3 couple break ups out of 5 kool-aids

Toy Story 4. Another great film in the series. A classic kid's movie with plenty to keep the adults entertained. 5 creepy ventriloquist dolls out of 5 long lost toys

    Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome

I always liked this movie, probably because it was the only movie from the original trilogy that I saw when released. The violence is fairly tame with a PG-13 rating but a decent watch and enough action to entertain. I would rate them Mad Max 2 > Beyond Thunderdome > Mad Max.

    3 Pox-Eclipses out of 5 Tomorrow-Morrow Lands

I even watched the video of "We Don't Need Another Hero". A virtual chocolate fish if you can pick out Dallaglio in the children's choir. 🙂

Once Upon a Time in London

Looking for something to watch, saw this, '30s gangster flick about the rise of organised crime in London. I liked Legend, and i do like a good gangster film, so i gave it a nudge.

It is not a good gangster film. It's really quite shit. There is fuck all in the way of a coherent story. The characters lack the charisma you always attribute to a gangster in a movie. But on top of that, it's terribly made. At least 2 key conversations are not heard, as they play the soundtrack over the top, i n a montage like scene. So you sort of jump forward while missing a link.

2 bashed bookies out of 5 wait, how did that just happen?

    Avoid.

the fight scenes are even worse than an aged Robert De Niro trying to dish out beatings in The Irishman

    This sounds rad:

We review Assassin 33 A.D., a film that is both a shockingly sophisticated meditation on Christian faith and theology, and one where Jesus Christ gets double-tapped in the head by a Tier 1 operator named Brandt..

Watching an 80s thriller. Love that one of the villains looks like a Will Ferrell character.

@Tim That's Trapper from Mash isn't it? I always thought he looked like Ferrell.

Wayne Rogers, was never happy he had to play 2nd fiddle to Alan Alda during the first 3 seasons of Mash.
When time came to begin filming for season 4 he simply didn’t turn up. Hence why he was written out of the show so suddenly ( no plot story or goodbye involving Hawkeye)

Yeah I’ve watched Mash a fair few times..

Looking back it seems bizarre that there were more series with the new guy than with Trapper. I don’t remember it that way. He was nowhere near as good and as for a name. I mean. BJ? Really?

Interesting fun fact, everyone that replaced someone on Mash stayed longer then the original did..

Hi. My name is R. L and I am a Top Gun fan....

Finally watched it. I am now Hot for pilots. Like seriously hot...
Jeeeeeeesus that was good, had it all, action, sexiness, sweatiness, tears, that old bird. I mean Val was obviously the highlight but I even fancied Tom a bit too, which is an absolute first. His laugh still annoys me, but you can't have it all.

    Pheeeeew Hot.

    Danger Close

Seemed like an appropriate weekend to watch it. Not bad at all. Black Hawk Down-esque in its faceless enemy. Not a big budget war movie by any stretch, but a pretty good movie none the less.

3.5 mates out of 5 i wish i had more bullets
