The Daily Mail have found some racist and sexist tweets by Ollie Robinson (from 9 years ago when he was 18) that the ECB won't be happy about:
Fucking hell, we're setting ourselves a pretty low bar for outrage these days aren't we.
Imagine having to read through that many years of tweets to dig for dirt.
I was going to suggest that someone had this lined up for him from years ago just waiting for the chance. But @sparky 's reply makes as much sense. (BTW #nobooboo

I wouldn't drop Taylor from this series or the final, though I think there are some broad parallels in his recent form to late career Ponting possibly starting to show.
Regardless, I think he will get to finish his career on his terms.

Yeah the alien pod thing, although now I have the tickets I see there's been a reshuffle to the Tavern Stand boxes instead. The new stands either side of the media center look great on TV, well see how they look live.

What an entirely predictable bullshit fiasco regarding Robinson. Trash rag waits until his debut, then prints the story straight away, player is apologetic, and investigation is launched (wtf does that even mean), non-white player says he isn't racist etc etc.
Having seen all the tweet's on the daily mail, I really wish he'd be completely unrepentant and point out they were jokes, plain and simple & were there to be enjoyed by him and his friends. Anybody that reads them and genuinely thinks he's bigoted in any way shape or form is a moron. This virtue signalling does absolutely nothing for anybody, in any place, of any colour, race or sex, at all.
I firmly believe this shit does the causes more harm than good.

@mn5 you contradict your own argument. If there are plenty of bug hitters to come Nicholls has no need to up his scoring rate. He just just keep on doing what he has been - we should be looking to bat once and bat big so slow scoring isn't really an issue at this stage. What we don't want to do is lose three quick wickets early on Day 2 and undo all the good work from Day 1
Yeah - I've written a few times before that for most tests, if you're batting first then I reckon a par waypoint is getting to 220/4.
So we're a little bit ahead in terms of both runs and wickets lost.
First session offers a chance for us to grab the game by the throat - or for England to get right back into it.
