Hold on, what the fuck are they teaching those kids?!
"Genter went to Cobham to visit 10-year-old Maia Devereaux, who sent the minister a pay equity petition after a class project on what a utopian society might look like."

Sounds like bullshit to me.

I have some questions for Maia Devereaux parents....

the vast majority of those who commented on the article do not agree with her.
St J's halo gonna be torn down around her...seems labour (and our govt) might be lacking in leadership and direction, never saw that coming!

What I find extraordinary is that creatures like this recoil in horror at the thought of groups being unfairly maligned by the actions of what they claim to be an unrepresentative minority, yet are quite happy to slander the shit out of all white men, or more specifically old white men.
What a great message to send to these girls. I can't see this causing any problems further down the line.

That's both sexist and racist, she should lose her job for that.
Actually it’s sexist , racist and ageist . Also moronic because if I was a
shareholder I’d want the board members to have as much experience as possible. What does she think appointing a non binary Tongan is zher early 20s to a board would do to a companies share price? This is following on from this obnoxious comment from someone who saw Telecoms share price halve under her watch.

It’ll be interesting to see the next poll.

Fark she looks like she's aged years already.
Working while pregnant is one thing. Working while Prime Minister is a whole different kettle of fish, especially when you're trying to keep morons in the Greens and NZF under control.
I have some empathy for her. I do want her to do well and I think her flopping on a number of ill thought out Labour policies is actually a good thing. But I do wonder if she will actually want to return from maternity leave after the baby pops.

Sounds like she got expertly needled and tried to up the ante, only to realise she'd crossed the line.

The incidents continue. I wonder how Jacinda's assertion during the debates that she's never lied or misled as a politician is sitting with people now?
-
Is there any sort of induction or training around this sort of (bread and butter) activity as a minister!? Ongoing rookie mistakes and/or dumb decisions. Would suspect a rush of power to the head for a few as well!
-
The response to the racist, sexist and ageist Julie Anne Genter's initial comments to the school kids, and then her awful follow up opinion piece, make me proud of NZ. It's great to see that the majority of NZers have little time for her bullshit.

Normally a government needs a minimum of at least one term before they get this mired in sleaze

@canefan well at least we know now what the extra question the Greens gave National will be about.
Key fired that clown for less than this, Clark wouldn’t have even had to think twice about it. I don’t think Jandalcinda understands keeping Curran around just gives the opposition and media easy shots . If there was nothing shady about the interview why all the lying about it?
