Wouldn't agree on the almost no flavour, but you have to do do it rare. Preferably bleeding. It's got almost no fat in it, so if you overcook it, it dries up and becomes flavourless. I get it here, along with other forms of venison - bok and deer both - from guys in Cahir. It's a great way to give yourself the treat of a real fuck-off bloody steak without the fat.  😁<br />
<br />
Edit; in a truly weird postscript, I went down to my local supermarket last evening after writing this - and they'd just started stocking venison, ostrich, kudu and kangaroo (another lean meat I'm partial to),  all from those guys in Cahir. How bad!  😁

yes, that is the sets by the body part, and yes, press as heavy as you can for 15 reps.  then next set you might only get 12 reps, so you should lower your weight slightly, and so on!

Weight still the same, despite eating and drinking better.  I think its good news though as I am getting fitter and building strength again so I am moving forward while treading water at the same time.<br />
<br />
Don't worry Bartman, the fun police are keeping a close eye on my discretionary activities so there is little risk of them occurring too frequently.

I have used a polar HRM for a while now, has some features that I find really useful. I guess I use it more as a sports watch with the added bonus of the HR stuff.<br />

the ability to record excersise on the watch. Basically the unit measures time excersising, HR, calories burned and time in target range, then you can download it to their website, even up to once every couple of weeks if you can't do it earlier. Find it really handy, cause I'm usually to buggered to remember all of this stuff at the end of a session.<br />
<br /> Take it with a pinch of salt, but the calaries burned setting is pretty cool if you keep the personal details accurate. Used it last week whilst snow boarding and was astonished how hard I was working. It claimed I burned 3500 calories in 6 hours on the slopes! (Was going pretty hard)<br />
<br /> For different training aims the HR is pretty useful, as someone mentioned above you can feel like you're working pretty hard but a quick glance will confirm it.<br />
<br />
<br />
the problem with teh polars is their cost.  If i was going to spend money on a decent HR watch i'd be buying a Garmin GPS watch as their heart rate functionality is top notch<br />
<br />
<br />
The polar definately wasn't the cheapest option out there but it has been going solid for at least a couple of hours a week for over 2 years. Can't fault it. Plus the website has heaps of good stuff in it.<br />
<br />
The Garmin GPS stuff does sound very tempting WtW, might have to pick one up when the polar does give up the ghost - have you used them before? Have head the GPS tends to drop out a bit

GMan if I can give you Boere advise on keeping your weight. It is everything about eating. My daily eating habit is breakfast (fry egg or ham and cheese omelet or scramble) with enough bacon or sausage, two slices bread and a coffee. Lunch a pie, or a toe broodjie with biltong and dry sausage and a big boere dinner containing, meat (chicken, Lam neck chops, chicken snitchel with a stysel and veggies and a few glasses of wine. The secret is to eat a BIG breakfast , a light lunch and a BIG dinner but NO in between. Those in betweeners is the problem.

Although, if I tackle it like how I played rugby I may not get much benefit from bouncing off of it.

Compeed - amazing stuff. Best plasters I've ever come across, for just about anything, like a second layer of skin. Work like a charm.

<br />
It's strange, both my older brothers are over 6'3", and weigh less than 90 kgs (real string beans) while I'm the nuggety one in the family.  :nta <br />

Cleans you right out Milk old son. Its best if you don't eat too much in the 24 hours leading up to it. I did it once for a colonoscopy. Was not fun, but I got my appetite back quick smart once I lost that stinging feeling in the nether regions.<br />
<br />
It comes in flavours, you mix it up into 3 litres of water - and mix it bloody well - then throw it down inside two hours. Don't make any plans for the next 24 hours <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /><br />

Weighted in for the first time for 5 weeks this morning and pleasantly surprised.  After rowing about half my usual milage for the last month, came in at 98 kilos, and 14& body fat.<br />
<br />
So gained a kilo, but lost 1.6% body fat.<br />
<br />
I'll buy that for a dollar  😁

TYhis 8 seconds and 12 seconds seems fairly specific - might try something liek that on the rower.  but for 20 minutes - dunno if I could do that - will try thoguh!!
