@siam Is this JetStar Oz? According to their website there is a charge for 'offline' booking, but nowhere near $50.

Check out the fees and charges section.

Realised, I’m not mentioning I want the door at the bottom of the stairs

Next you'll be telling us the door must only open from the outside?

    completely non notified.

They changed the RMA last year. A shit load of things don't need to be notified now.

I'm all for fewer regulations and hassles for people to use their own land, but the neighbours should have a chance to have a say.

Yes councils are the worst form of regulation / carnts.

yeh in that area it was for buildings up to 3 stories under the unitary plan... i'm kinda thinking that something that goes a full two stories over the councils own guidelines should be farking notified! at the very least to the punters living next door!!

the other fcuked bit about it was that the person doing the review wasn't even the council - they're too busy - so it's outsourced.. to someone that works at a development company.

oh and that was the other crazy thing. It was the developer who put in the application that somehow got to decide that there was no impact to the surrounding area so was non notified.. errr what?!

@canefan I changed to using a gmail app a few weeks ago so hopefully that will work for me as it worked for you.

I understand why the email providers have done it, but fucking hell it's annoying.

    @mokey Agreed.

I tend to think the same about "Jailhouse Justice". The people meting it out are probably equally horrible bastards that I'd like to see on the receiving end.

It is much better if the State draws a hard line on all of these bastards.

@jegga It'd be a hell of a thing to have to go through and remember. Whenever I fly into Wellington on a calm day the sinking site looks just so tragic for being so close yet so far away in those sea conditions.

@canefan I mention it as I was having a quiet cup of coffee in an hotel lounge the other day and there were three young Hong Kong Chinese at the other end of the lounge hoiking up like you would not believe. As it turns out the lounge had very good acoustics. 😧

@antipodean I don't follow racing very closely but I looked up his records and they were very impressive . I see he was also drafted and sent over to Viet Nam and then came back and continued his career when he left the army. He could have said he was gay and they would have refused to take him.

@no-quarter According to NZTA its achieving its objective. Every time I drive that section I make sure I'm in the right lane way ahead of time and just stay in it thus avoiding all the retards with their last minute jockeying as it enters the CMJ.

Plenty of fines being dished out so it seems it is being policed. Your comment about lane changing doesn't really ring true to me as you can have exactly the same issues on the 100km sections too - with the dickwads who want to do 120 because that will get them to their destination 0.73 seconds quicker.

You get it less in the 100kms stretches, as most people doing more then that are in the right lane already. It's quite a messy stretch of road, you may be right the speed limit might not change much.

I take the ports exit so have no choice but to change lanes quite late in the piece unless I want to sit in the far right lane with some dickhead trying to do 120 up my arse the whole way.
